Websites built to be found and to convert
A professional services site has two jobs: help someone decide you are credible, and make it easy to contact you. Most fail the second one.

Why a redesign often changes nothing
Firms usually rebuild because the site looks dated. That fixes the thing that was easiest to see and leaves the thing that was costing money. If enquiries were low before, they will be low after, because the reasons were structural: no clear next step on any page, contact details buried, a form asking for more than the visitor is ready to give, and pages that load slowly on a phone.
Speed is not a technical nicety here. Research by Portent across a large sample of B2B lead generation sites found that pages loading in one second converted around three times better than pages loading in five.
Scope
What is included
Static build
No heavyweight page builder. That is what makes the site fast, and it is why Core Web Vitals pass without a separate optimisation project afterwards.
Accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA
Keyboard operable, sensible contrast, real form labels, visible focus. Increasingly something your own clients will ask you about.
Search structure from the start
URL architecture, headings, internal linking and schema designed in, rather than retrofitted once the design is signed off.
Content management
You edit your own articles and case studies without touching code, and without being able to break the layout.
Conversion paths
A clear next step on every page, contact details visible as text, and a form that asks only what changes how the enquiry is handled.
Migration and redirects
Old URLs mapped to new ones properly. This is the step most often skipped, and it is how firms lose their rankings in a rebuild.

Straight answers
Common questions
- How long does a site take?
- It depends on the number of pages and how quickly content and approvals come back. Delays are almost always about approvals rather than build time, so I will tell you at the start exactly what I need from you and when.
- Will we lose our rankings?
- Not if the migration is done properly. Every existing URL gets mapped to its new equivalent with a permanent redirect, and I check index coverage after launch rather than assuming it worked.
- Can we edit it ourselves?
- Yes. Articles, case studies and the like are all editable. Structural changes come to me, which is deliberate: it is what stops a site drifting out of shape.
- Do you use WordPress?
- Usually not. For a brochure site it brings a maintenance and security burden with little benefit. If you have a specific reason to need it, say so and we will talk it through.
- What about hosting?
- Included, on infrastructure that serves the site from a global network. It is fast and inexpensive, and you own the account.
